Although Thurman’s character adopts some male characteristics, it can be argued that the film also conforms to Mulvey’s theory. Throughout the film, The Bride is shown as a wronged mother seeking revenge on her family thus fitting to the female stereotype where women are seen to be emotional and having a set role in the household. Moreover, although Thurman is exhibited as a dominant entity, she is also abetting the idea of the voyeuristic pleasure men experience by her tight fitted outfit which can be seen as a way to make the character even more attractive. Due to this outfit, male viewers are given the chance to objectify her as a sex object.
